Jonathan and Josh Harter, whose parents own a recording studio used by George Strait, step into the spotlight.
There’s a scene in “ Urban Cowboy ” where a black-and-blue Deborah Winger looks longingly at a suddenly wiser and stoically contrite John Travolta near the end of the movie. He’d just kicked bad guy Scott Glenn ’s butt in a back room at Gilley ’s giant honky tonk in Pasadena .
In the singer-songwriter duo, older brother Jonathan is the perfectionist; Josh is laid back but outgoing as the group's lead singer. “We’re kind of finally doing what we’ve felt we should do for a long time,” Jonathan said. “This just kind of feels like the culmination of all our coming together. We’re trying to entertain ourselves. We want to create music that sounds and feels authentic.” At Lonesome Rose, dad will be on lead guitar. Jordan Williams plays bass.
