A branch of the Catholic church has expressed concern over reports that Israel is demolishing civilian and religious buildings in southern Lebanon. The Council of Melkite Greek Catholic Bishops urged the Lebanese government and the United Nations to protect these properties, especially in Yaroun, where a Melkite convent was reportedly destroyed.
