GAUTIER, Miss. — The Gautier City Council called a special meeting Tuesday and went into executive session to discuss the future of the city’s deal with a promoter for The Sound Amphitheater .
Mayor Casey Vaughan said the city has reached an agreement with 46 Entertainment, continuing their partnership on a concert-by-concert basis while also leaving room for other promoters to book shows. The venue opened its gates for its third season earlier this month, and city leaders want to ensure that the venue remains a strong asset to the community.
Mayor Vaughan said the goal goes beyond booking acts - it’s about putting Gautier on the map and giving residents something to be proud of.
“To see people, to be able to finally come to Gautier and enjoy a concert or enjoy the venue and go spread the positivity about what we have going on in Gautier is very heartwarming,” Vaughan said.
