This mock draft explores the Philadelphia Eagles' potential selections in the upcoming NFL Draft, focusing on addressing key needs at edge rusher, defensive tackle, linebacker, and tight end. The draft also incorporates strategic trades to acquire future draft capital and bolster the team's long-term prospects.

The Philadelphia Eagles concluded their time at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Sunday, observing the offensive linemen's workouts before returning to Philadelphia. Following numerous meetings with prospects, both formal and informal, the Eagles are now analyzing the gathered information and refining their draft board. With pressing needs at edge rusher , defensive tackle , linebacker, and tight end , the Eagles have a prime opportunity to bolster depth at these positions.

This seven-round mock draft aims to address these needs while incorporating strategic trades. The objective is not only to acquire targeted players but also to secure future draft capital, looking ahead to the 2026 draft. In a trade, the Eagles send their 2025 first-round selection to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection (40th overall), a 2025 fourth-round selection (111th overall), and a 2026 second-round selection. This pick presents a challenging projection, as the Eagles could potentially use it in a deal to acquire a coveted defensive end from the Cleveland Browns or retain it for their own selection. This mock draft assumes the Saints' quarterback situation for 2025 remains uncertain, with former Eagles offensive coordinator now at the helm and Derek Carr and Spencer Rattler appearing as questionable long-term options. Trading up to the 32nd overall pick would empower the Saints to secure a fifth-year option for a promising quarterback prospect such as Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart, Alabama's Jalen Milroe, or another suitable candidate. This scenario would allow the rookie quarterback to learn Moore's system without immediate pressure, facilitating development before potentially taking over for Carr. According to reports, the Saints could subsequently release Carr before the 2026 season, freeing up $32.7 million in cap space compared to $1.3 million in the current season. The Eagles, meanwhile, move back only 10 spots in a draft abundant with players at their positions of need while acquiring an additional fourth-round selection and a second-round pick for 2026. With their first selection, the Eagles address the edge rusher position by drafting Jackson, who impressed at the combine with a 4.68-second 40-yard dash and demonstrated explosive lower-body strength in the broad jump and vertical jump. Jackson led Arkansas with 6.5 sacks, adding 27 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and nine hurries. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 264 pounds, his size and quickness would provide defensive coordinator with a versatile lineman capable of playing on the edge and shifting inside to defensive tackle, similar to Brandon Graham's role in the past. The Eagles continue to solidify their defense by selecting Alexander in the second round. With Milton Williams potentially departing for a lucrative contract elsewhere, Alexander steps in to help replace him in the defensive tackle rotation. Alexander can play the three-technique position like Williams and generate pressure from the interior. He recorded 3.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss. At 305 pounds, he can also slide to nose tackle, offering a breather for the regular starters. His 28 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press at the combine showcase his raw strength to push back offensive linemen.
