A 4-year-old boy was found dead in his Waynesboro home, and his mother, 40-year-old Amie Ruleman, has been accused of child endangerment . Disturbing details Court documents show Ruleman called for help yesterday afternoon around 1 p.

m., reporting that her son was unconscious and not breathing in her home on Pratt Court. During a police interview, Ruleman said her son had been sick this past weekend, but she did not take him to the doctor. She also admitted to missing five to six doctor appointments in the past two years. The Franklin County coroner said the child was malnourished, weighing about 25 pounds when he should have weighed between 33 and 37 pounds. The coroner also said the boy had likely been dead for more than 24 hours. The Waynesboro Police Department also found drug paraphernalia in Ruleman’s home. Autopsy scheduled According to police, an autopsy has been scheduled and will be performed to assist in determining the exact cause and manner of death.Evidence in this case is still being gathered and analyzed.News 8 has also reached out to the coroner but have not heard back at this time.
