Delta Air Lines had to call off Flight 419 after crew members accidentally deployed an emergency slide on Jan. 23. SEA Airport said Flight 419, which was scheduled to travel to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, was empty of passengers at the time of the incident. The plane was parked on the SEA runway and was pulling up to the gate to load passengers for the outbound flight when the crew accidentally set off the slide.A spokesperson for the airport clarified the aircraft was empty when the emergency slide was accidentally deployed, and was pulling up to the gate to load passengers for the outbound flight. The video shows the plane approaching the gate and coming to a full stop. The pilot and co-pilot are seen moving around inside the cockpit, and the passenger boarding bridge starts to extend toward the plane's door. Suddenly, the emergency slide bursts out, inflates, and unfolds down to the runway. More movement is seen in the cockpit, while ground crews gather around the bottom of the slide. No travelers were involved and no injuries were reported. However, passengers had to have their flights rescheduled due to the repair delay.
