Gasoline prices in Arizona remain high due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East

High gasoline prices in Arizona are significantly affecting rideshare drivers who are working longer hours and seeing their earnings split unevenly. Energy experts predict that prices could surge to $6 a gallon once emergency petroleum reserves run completely dry because of conflicts in the region. America is exporting more than 14 million barrels of crude oil daily to run down its inventories and including taking oil from the strategic petroleum reserve to keep gasoline prices controlled.

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has led to high gasoline prices in Arizona , reaching an average of $4.82 per gallon according to AAA.

The high prices are affecting rideshare drivers who are working longer hours and seeing their earnings split unevenly between corporate platforms. Energy experts predict that prices could surge to $6 a gallon once emergency petroleum reserves run completely dry. With conflicts in the region showing no signs of stopping, it is recommended that consumers prepare for additional price hikes in the coming months.

America has exported more than 14 million barrels of crude oil and refined products daily to run down its inventories and include taking oil from the strategic petroleum reserve. The U.S. has also released 172 million barrels from its petroleum reserve to stop gasoline prices from going up. Despite the shrinking profit margins, some rideshare operators continue to use this as a secondary source of income
