Drill rapper Digga D has sparked outrage after expressing support for his friend convicted of murdering Michelle Sadio outside a church in London. The incident has reignited debate about the rapper's controversial past and the impact of drill music.

Britain's 'most hated drill rapper' Digga D has ignited widespread condemnation after publicly supporting two convicted criminals responsible for the tragic death of an innocent mother, Michelle Sadio , outside a church in north London.

Rhys Herbert, known as Digga D, voiced his support for his friend Perry Allen-Thomas, who was found guilty on Tuesday of murdering 44-year-old Ms. Sadio. The shooting occurred on December 14, 2024, during a wake for 80-year-old Dianne Boatong at the River of Life Pentecostal Church in Willesden, attended by approximately 100 mourners, including young children. A stolen black Kia pulled up and shots were fired, resulting in Ms. Sadio's death at the scene.

Two other individuals, Kenneth Amoah, a Transport for London contractor, and Kadeem Francis, were also injured, with Amoah suffering paralysis below the waist. The intended target of the shooting was reportedly rapper Trapstar Toxic. Following the Old Bailey trial, where Allen-Thomas and Amir Salem were convicted of murder and attempted murder, Digga D took to Snapchat to express his feelings.

He posted a picture of Allen-Thomas alongside broken heart emojis, accompanied by the message 'f***ed up system' and '3 my darg'. This post quickly circulated online, sparking outrage from the public. Critics condemned Digga D's comments as insensitive and supportive of violence, questioning his justification for believing the justice system was flawed in this case. The incident is not isolated, as Digga D has a history of controversial behavior and legal troubles.

He was previously jailed last year for importing and supplying a significant quantity of cannabis. His music and videos have often been accused of inciting violence and goading rivals, earning him the label 'London's most hated rapper'. The investigation revealed a meticulously planned attack. Allen-Thomas is believed to have organized the shooting while ensuring his own alibi.

The stolen Kia used in the attack was later doused in petrol and set ablaze, with Salem having purchased the fuel. The weapon used was a 'gang gun' previously involved in other incidents. While Shaquille Sutherland and Tahjin Sommersall were cleared of wrongdoing, the prosecution alleged Sommersall was present in the Kia. Digga D's past includes multiple convictions for gang-related crimes and drug offenses, and reports suggest he amassed a substantial income from rapping before his recent imprisonment.

He has even been subjected to a police order controlling his musical output due to its connection to violence, and has been a target of violence himself, including a stabbing that nearly cost him his sight and an attempted shooting. This latest display of support for a convicted murderer further fuels the debate surrounding the influence of drill music and the responsibility of artists whose lyrics and actions may contribute to a culture of violence
