Narcotics investigators later found about 10 pounds of marijuana inside the package, police said.
DOTHAN, Ala. - Two men from outside the area were arrested on Thursday and face charges after a package containing illegal drugs was delivered to a Dothan address. According to the Dothan Police Department, they were notified that the suspected package was set to be delivered in the city.
The en route package containing the drugs was to be received by 40-year-old Gerald Rattery of West Palm Beach, Florida and 39-year-old Briand Fields of Chico, California. After the delivery was made, Rattery and Fields left the location in a vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted, with officers discovering the package in the trunk of the vehicle.Gerald Rattery and Brian Fields were arrested on Thursday and face charges after a package containing illegal drugs was delivered to a Dothan address.Rattery was charged with conspiracy to traffic marijuana and Fields was charged with trafficking marijuana.Download the WTVY News4 app to get alerts and stories the moment they are published.
