A Monday night house fire in Chambers County has claimed the lives of two people.
CHAMBERS COUNTY, Ala. - A Monday night house fire in the Huguley community has claimed the lives of two residents, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said deputies were dispatched to a residential fire at 4327 20th Street SW around 10:30 p.m. Monday. There, first responders found the home fully engulfed in flames, preventing them from entering the structure. Crews from the Huguley, Lanett, and East Alabama Fire Departments arrived on the scene to battle the blaze. The sheriff’s office said the bodies of both victims were found inside the home after emergency crews extinguished the fire.
