SAN ANTONIO - A temporary compromise has been reached between the Bexar County deputies and the county over mandatory overtime deputies worked, and weren't being compensated for.

Deputies had lost almost 32,000 hours or about a million dollars of mandatory overtime hours they worked last year. The temporary fix will allow deputies to roll over the extra hours they worked instead of flat-out losing them. This gives the association and the county time for their collective bargaining agreement negotiations to start early next year.
