The end of House of the Dragon season 2 may have left viewers wanting more, but it did promise that the action would begin from episode one in season 3. With all the armies of Westeros gathering for war, HOTD season 3 will have some of the biggest battles in the franchise's history if George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood is to be believed.
One of these armies gathering for war is the Winter Wolves, an army of grizzled, elderly Northern men who are determined to die in battle rather than burden their families in the harsh North. We see this army walking through the Twins at the end of HOTD season 2, on their way to fight for the Blacks and Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy).
