Brandon Shoupe has taken home another term as chairman of the Houston County Commission after defeating John Rogers on Tuesday night. In Henry County, Ashley Clements has won the district 2 county commission seat, while Ketchum and Hudspeth will go to a runoff in district 3.
Bryan Hatton has defeated Kevin Watson to win the District 1 commission seat in Geneva County. Jeffrey Williams and Letetia Daniels Jackson earn the party nominations for the District 1 county commission seat. Tracy Adams and Chris Love are set for a runoff for the county commission District 2 seat. Rep.
Rick Rehm declared victory in the Republican primary for District 85 in the Alabama State House, defeating David Money. Alabama State Senator Donnie Chesteen has won the Republican nomination for District 29, handily defeating two opponents. He has no Democratic opposition. He faces Tommy Tuberville in November.
Glover replaces Robert Byrd who is in his 40th year in office. Tommy Tuberville won the Republican nomination for governor, easily defeating two opponents. David Hall defeated Tim Forehand for the Republican nomination for Geneva County sheriff. Polls have now closed and results will begin pouring in shortly!
