Police are on the hunt for a driver who struck a Brooklyn cop with their vehicle, injuring the officer during a traffic stop over the weekend.
Police say they are on the hunt for a driver who reversed into a cop in Brooklyn , injuring him during a traffic stop over the weekend.According to authorities, the incident unfolded at 8 p.m. on April 4 at the intersection of Wallabout Street and Broadway in Williamsburg, in the confines of thespotted a white 2018 Q50S Infiniti with misplaced Montana license plates and excessive window tints and pulled the vehicle over.
As officers left their cars and approached, the driver suddenly accelerated forward and struck two police vehicles before reversing the Infinity and colliding with a police officer. The Infiniti then fled southbound on Wallabout Street. The officer sustained minor injuries and bruising to the lower body. He was transported by EMS to a local area hospital in stable condition. Police have released surveillance footage of the man they believe is responsible and are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
