Enterprise PD Targets Online Predators in Two-Day Sting, 6 Arrested.
DOTHAN, Ala. - Enterprise Police say they carried out a targeted sting under their Guardian Shield Initiative called Operation INTERCEPT on April 23–24, aimed at stopping online solicitation of minors.
They made arrests on six individuals on charges including Human Trafficking, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet a Child for Unlawful Sex; one suspect also faces drug possession/paraphernalia charges. Police said as a part of the operation undercover officers posed as decoys in digital spaces commonly used to facilitate these crimes.
John Warren Agan, age 38, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking 1st, Traveling to Meet Child for Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Edgar Leonardo Quim, age 21, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking 1st, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet Child for Unlawful Sex Act.
Stephen Vickrey Weaver, age 43, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking 1st, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet Child for Unlawful Sex Act. James Robert Brock Jr., age 35, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking 1st, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet Child for Unlawful Sex Act.
Alan Baker, age 39, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking 1st, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet Child for Unlawful Sex Act. ·James Santiago, age 39, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking 1st, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet Child for Unlawful Sex Act.
Police said the Guardian Shield Initiative is designed to disrupt the demand that drives human trafficking and exploitation by identifying and arresting individuals attempting to solicit victims online—before exploitation occurs. Enterprise Police partnered with the Covenant Rescue Group , which provided specialized training and served in an advisory role during the operation. The department also thanked the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Coffee County District Attorney’s Office, and the police departments in Daleville, Elba, and Opp for their assistance.
