MacPaw launches CleanMyMac Business, an enterprise version of its popular Mac cleaning and security software, aimed at small and medium-sized businesses and managed service providers. The new solution simplifies Mac fleet maintenance and security, offering a centralized platform for managing multiple Macs.
The new CleanMyMac Business brings the power of the consumer software scaled up for small and medium businesses. Software that cleans and protects Macs gets hard press from a lot of Mac enthusiasts who insist macOS is self-healing and doesn’t need a utility like CleanMyMac from MacPaw, the Ukraine-based developer that’s been in business for 20 years. I would like to beg to differ with the enthusiasts.
I’ve been using CleanMyMac for almost a decade and it’s been invaluable for clearing out unwanted log files and other clutter. It’s also great for uninstalling software and for tracking down the big files that take up a lot of space on your Mac’s drive. CleanMyMac is also a good defense against malware and although I have had very few problems with my Mac, the software did identify a malware called Silver Sparrow that I picked up for a keyboard definition file just the other day. CleanMyMac got rid of the malware and I am glad I had it running on my Mac.MacPaw has now announced that it is launching an enterprise version of CleanMyMac for companies that run a fleet of Macs. Harnessing the same technology that powers the consumer version, CleanMyMac Business is MacPaw’s latest software that simplifies Mac fleet maintenance for organizations and managed service providers. CleanMyMac Business is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses and managed service providers. It’s a centralized solution that simplifies the maintenance of multiple Macs. In many smaller organizations that have a few Macs, the responsibility for IT often falls to a single person because the organization can’t afford a dedicated IT manager. While these organizations need effective Mac maintenance and security, their requirements might not justify the costs and complexity of an enterprise-grade MDM package, leaving them with few options to suit their need
