The incident was one of two shootings by San Antonio police officers on Sept. 19 that the police department released footage of on Friday. In the first incident, officers and detectives with the Robbery Task Force and Street Crimes Unit were conducting surveillance on 34-year-old Roberto Gonzalez , who was wanted on an active warrant for aggravated robbery.

He’s got a gun!” one of the officers yelled, according to the footage. Gonzalez then got into the driver's seat of the vehicle and drove off, the footage shows. Officers jumped into their vehicles and followed him.

At one point, Gonzales lifted both his hands as if surrendering, the helicopter footage shows. He kept the gun in his hand, and began to lift the gun, according to the footage. Seven officers, who each had between two and five years of experience, shot and killed Gonzalez.
