A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in Oakland County, Michigan, for a string of 11 home invasions that occurred over the past two years. The suspect, who is described as tall for his age, targeted girls in these break-ins, entering through unlocked windows and, in some cases, using a knife to threaten his victims. The arrest came thanks to tips from the community, and the suspect is currently being held at Oakland County's Children's Village while authorities consider potential charges.

A 13-year-old boy is currently in custody at Oakland County 's Children's Village in connection with 11 home invasions that occurred over a two-year period in Oakland County , Michigan . Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said that the arrest came thanks to tips from the community. 'As soon as we realized what we had in terms of complexity and repetitive nature, we put it out to the community and got a quick response,' Bouchard said. 'The suspect is 13 years old.

He's a tall 13-year-old, and the parent, I would also say, has been cooperative.'\The break-ins began approximately two years ago. Sheriff Bouchard stated that some of the incidents went unreported until recently, when a series of intrusions prompted detectives to connect the dots. 'This is the worst nightmare for any parent that somebody might be trying to climb in through a window to get after their kids,' Bouchard said. All 11 break-ins involved the suspect entering through unlocked windows. In at least three instances, he used a knife to threaten the victims. \Sheriff Bouchard spoke with the families of three victims, including a 9-year-old girl in Detroit targeted on January 13th, a 10-year-old girl in Pontiac targeted on Tuesday, and a 15-year-old girl in Pontiac targeted in October. The suspect is believed to have been known to some of the children in the area. One victim's mother, identified as Shawna Pryor, shared that her daughter had been targeted by the suspect. Pryor stated that her two daughters, ages 10 and 13, had been in a group chat with other children in the neighborhood who already knew the suspect's identity. Pryor said police later confirmed the suspect's identity to her, adding that he is in the same class at school as her 13-year-old son. Pryor's 10-year-old daughter was allegedly made to undress by the suspect at knifepoint, stabbed in the hand, and choked before her older sister came downstairs. Pryor expressed relief at the suspect's arrest and hopes that he receives professional help. 'Ain't no way this 13-year-old baby should be like this at all. He is a monster, and he's a baby,' Pryor said
