A Jacksonville man accused of sexually battering a 13-year-old boy is asking a judge to remove his electronic monitoring device, arguing it would interfere with his participation in a physically demanding graduate arts program.
Published:– A Jacksonville man accused of sexually battering a 13-year-old boy is asking a judge to remove his electronic monitoring device, arguing it would interfere with his participation in a physically demanding graduate arts program.
, was arrested Dec. 31 after the teen told Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators that Chrispin had been in a romantic relationship with him since mid-2025. Chrispin denied the teen’s claims to police. According to the motion filed May 11 in the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, Chrispin has been in full compliance with all conditions of his pretrial release and has had no victim contact throughout the proceedings.
His attorney also noted that Chrispin has submitted to a psycho/sexual evaluation with a doctor and that the forthcoming report is anticipated to be favorable to the defendant. Central to the motion is Chrispin’s acceptance into Jacksonville University’s Office of Graduate and Professional Studies Master of Fine Arts in Choreography program for Summer 2026. The defense argues the GPS device would be physically burdensome and embarrassing given the physically demanding nature of dance and choreography coursework.
