After more than three decades of dedicated service, City of Stow’s Chief of Police announced his retirement Sunday.

STOW , Ohio - After more than three decades of dedicated service, City of Stow ’s Police Chief announced his retirement Sunday. Chief Film served the community with integrity since joining the department in 1991 and has led as the chief since 2014, according to the City of Stow .

When asked to share a defining moment in his career, Chief Film reflected on his 20 years with the Metro SWAT Team, serving from 1994 to 2014, including his final seven years as Commander. According to a release from the City of Stow, Chief Film has credited the department’s success to his team throughout his career, emphasizing that every accomplishment is the result of collective effort.“I couldn’t be more confident or proud to pass the leadership of this department to Chief Heather Prusha. She has shown exceptional integrity, professionalism, and commitment throughout her career. She leads with both strength and compassion, and she has earned the respect of everyone in this department,” Film said in the release. “Chief Prusha embodies the spirit of servant leadership.
