Dajzhon Williams-Toney is accused of repeatedly hitting and shoving a woman while she was holding a baby during an incident at a residence in the 600 block of Wyncroft Lane.

A Chester County man accused of assaulting a woman and her baby inside a Lancaster Township home will have his case move forward in county court following a preliminary hearing, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.

According to police, an officer who responded to the scene observed two large contusions on the baby’s forehead. The woman told police that she and Williams-Toney had been arguing and that, as the confrontation escalated, she picked up the baby and tried to retreat to a bedroom. She said Williams-Toney blocked her path and pushed her while she was holding the child. The woman told investigators she regained her balance and tried to flee as Williams-Toney began throwing punches, striking the baby in the head multiple times and hitting the back of her neck. Arrest and bailPolice said Williams-Toney was arrested without incident shortly after 11:30 a.m. Court records show he is free on $25,000 unsecured bail.
