DOTHAN , Ala. - The field and matchups are set and teams are ready to hit the hardwood for the 2025 Downtown Dothan Hoops Classic. 16 of the Wiregrass area’s top basketball programs will take center stage for what should be an action-packed five days of games from December 26 through December 31.
10 of the 16 teams in this year’s field were teams that qualified for state tournament play during the 2024-25 season: defending 2A State Champions Providence Christian; 3A state semifinalist Houston Academy; 2A region finalist Abbeville; region semifinalists Dothan, Carroll, Charles Henderson, Dale County and Georgiana; and sub-regional contenders Eufaula and Ashford. The Dothan Wolves, who will face off with Georgiana in the first round, come into this year’s tournament as the defending Hoops Classic Champions and will be looking to win their fourth straight at the Dothan Civic Center.Download the WTVY News4 app to get alerts and stories the moment they are published.
