Lancaster Police said the fights were reported around 8 p.m. outside the carnival, which was set up in the mall parking lot.
The owners of the fair, Penn Valley, have experienced police investigations near their events before. Last year, the carnival at Penn Medicine Park, home of the Lancaster Stormers, canceled its final day of operation because of a shooting.
On April 27, 2025, two people were shot behind the stadium. In a Facebook post at the time, Penn Valley Shows said the decision was made for them after an incident that did not take place on the carnival grounds.Event organizers said that despite an increase in security and their decision to proactively not allow underage children in without parental supervision, the carnival would be closed for its final day.
What about this year's carnival?WGAL reached out to Penn Valley for comment about plans for the carnival at Park City, but we have not yet heard back.
Lancaster City Police told us they are partnering with Park City Mall management and the carnival's owners to ensure safety.
The carnival runs from April 15 to 19. The hours are:Wednesday to Saturday | 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.Sunday | 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
