Camille James said she is still living with trauma eight years after she was stabbed in Federal Way by a teenager on Halloween. Now, she's leaving Washington.

James said she is moving out of Washington state and “won’t look back” due to crime. It’s been eight years since Camille James was stabbed by a trick-or-treater on Halloween in 2016, but her pain and fear from that horrific night still remain.
"You don't really realize how much things can get taken away from you -- your sense of security. The things you take for granted when something like this happens," Jamespicked James' house at random -- taking candy from a bowl, then stabbing James in the ribs, puncturing the outer part of her lungs. The attacker fled, while James' boyfriend called 911.in a tip after the boy bragged about his actions at school.
"The crime involving youth is getting out of hand," James said. "We are giving up and moving out of state. Once we finish preparations to list our home in early June, we won't look back once it sells." "After last week’s shootings, which resulted in the death of a 2-year-old and the injury of a man near Pacific Highway, as well as another incident that injured a teenager at a nearby apartment complex, Mayor Jim Ferrell is pushing back against crime by establishing a highly skilled Violent Crime Task Force," the announcement said.
