Posting a pair of striking sunset photographs to Truth Social on Saturday night, Trump hailed the restoration as a 'very exciting project' and promised the sprawling water feature would be ready before the Fourth of July. The images showed the partially refilled Reflecting Pool shimmering like glass beneath dramatic evening skies, with near-perfect mirror reflections of both the Lincoln Memorial and the towering Washington Monument captured in the water.

'Looking really good! ' The president said the project had evolved far beyond its original scope as he pushed for what he described as a more beautiful and longer-lasting redesign.
