Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds continue their comedic promotion of the Bonds Flying Roos campaign ahead of the SailGP's inaugural race in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The ad, created with monday.com, coincides with the team's pursuit of the top spot in the standings and SailGP's expansion into South America.
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have already made it pretty clear they’re not going to be normal sports-team owners, so this latest move feels right on brand. The duo’s Bonds Flying Roos campaign is getting another comedy push just before SailGP heads somewhere it has never raced before.
And with the team chasing the top spot in the standings, the timing is not exactly subtle. A new spot from Jackman and Reynolds, created in partnership with monday.com, has gone live ahead of this weekend’s ENEL Rio Sail Grand Prix, which takes place on April 11–12, 2026. SailGP has billed Rio as the championship’s first-ever event in South America, making the ad drop feel like part of a much bigger push around the league’s latest milestone. It also comes at a key moment for the Australian team. Led by Tom Slingsby, the Bonds Flying Roos head into Rio sitting second in the 2026 standings and looking to move back into first. SailGP’s official Rio preview has positioned the event as a major early-season stop, while outside coverage has noted just how significant the Brazil debut is for the league’s global expansion.Collider Exclusive · Marvel Personality Quiz Which MCU Hero Are You? With monday.com’s elite planning, Blueberry’s surgical trading precision and Bonds comfy and somewhat waterproof skivvies, we feel like we’re well-positioned heading into the Abu Dhabi Grand Finale. We have also been told the boat, team and captain matter so hopefully those work out as well.” As for whether or not the pair will work together again? Who can say? After all, Reynolds' Deadpool did joke that Jackman would be playing Wolverine into his 90s, and it's not like there's a gigantic superhero team-up movie revolving around the idea of wars that are secret, with some Avenging needing done, due to release next year. What's that? You mean there is an Avengers: Secret Wars movie? Good heavens. Let's see what happens. Want deeper coverage?
