But the E600LFP is in a much more compact package and costs a fraction of the price. Is the Pecron E600LFP the right portable power station for you? That’s nice to have in an emergency – unlike many true portables, this one will let you plug in an electric kettle. For example, I tested it with a large area air purifier , the kind of appliance you want to have operational if wildfire smoke is a problem. Plugged into the 600LFP, the air purifier kept doing its thing for 15 straight hours. In terms of the bare necessities during an extended power outage, with this power station, you would be able to keep an LED light on for days, while also keeping your phone and tablet charged.), this power station is equipped with a beast of an AC adapter that runs hot and makes a fair amount of noise . The tradeoff is it supports fast-charging, so the power station can plug in and go from 0% to 100% in about three hours. Realistically, the annoyance can be overlooked because it’s only a problem when you’re charging the power station and even then, only if you’re in the same room with it as it charges.If your home is lacking a portable power station for emergency use but you have space and/or budget constraints, theis an option you may want to consider. It’s relatively light and affordable, it can power or charge multiple devices simultaneously, its LiFePo4 battery offers safety and longevity advantages over Lithium-ion, it has the ability to power high-demand devices if needed and even supports solar charging if you invest in an optional solar panel. Like all battery power stations, it can be safely used indoors . You’re not going to keep your refrigerator running for a full day with this truly portable power station; the larger Pecron E2000LFP did that in testing if you need the capability. But the Pecron E600LFP is well-suited to keeping devices like small TVs, CPAP machines, fans and air purifiers running for hours, and it can certainly provide all your mobile devices with multiple charges when there’s no other source of power.Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations.
