A new science fiction action-adventure comedy series featuring Kevin Sussman and Lauren Lapkus has been announced, while the sports world mourns the loss of Monte Coleman, a legendary linebacker and coach. Additionally, a groundbreaking at-home blood testing service is revolutionizing health monitoring, and the music industry pays tribute to Nedra Talley Ross, the last original member of The Ronettes.
The highly anticipated new series, featuring Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie, has been unveiled as a science fiction action-adventure comedy.
Created by Chuck Lorre, the show follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Sussman, who must restore reality after accidentally breaking a device built by characters Sheldon and Leonard, leading to a multiverse Armageddon. The cast also includes Stuart’s girlfriend Denise, portrayed by Lapkus, his geologist friend Bert, played by Posehn, and quantum physicist Barry Kripke, portrayed by Bowie.
The announcement was made at a panel during CCXP Mexico City, where it was revealed that Danny Elfman, a frequent collaborator of Tim Burton, composed the original music for the series. The show is set to explore the consequences of Stuart’s actions, blending humor with high-stakes sci-fi elements.
Meanwhile, in sports news, Monte Coleman, a legendary linebacker who won three Super Bowls with Washington and later coached Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a conference championship, has passed away at the age of 68. Coleman, who played for Washington for 16 seasons from 1979 to 1994, was a key figure in the team’s championship defenses. His death was announced by the Washington Commanders and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, with no cause of death disclosed.
Washington’s controlling owner, Josh Harris, praised Coleman as one of the greatest players in team history, highlighting his durability and leadership. Coleman later transitioned to coaching, leading Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a Southwestern Athletic Conference title in 2012. The university’s athletic director, Chris Robinson, described Coleman as a symbol of excellence and integrity, whose legacy extended beyond championships to the lives he touched. In health and wellness, a new at-home blood testing service is changing the way people monitor their health.
This service offers comprehensive blood tests that measure up to 60 biomarkers, including cholesterol, testosterone, and vitamin B12, across various health panels such as cardiovascular, metabolic, and hormonal health. Users can choose their health focus, from longevity to thyroid health, and select how often they want to test. The process involves collecting a small blood sample using an EasyDraw collector, which is then sent to a CLIA-certified lab for processing.
Results are delivered within seven days through a personalized dashboard, along with recommendations for diet, supplements, exercise, and lifestyle changes. This service aims to provide a data-driven approach to health monitoring, empowering users to take direct action based on their results.
Additionally, the music world mourns the loss of Nedra Talley Ross, the last remaining original member of the iconic girl group The Ronettes. The group, formed in New York in 1959, was fronted by Ronnie Spector, her older sister Estelle Bennett, and their cousin Talley. They signed to producer Phil Spector’s label in 1963 and achieved fame with hits like “Be My Baby,” “Baby, I Love You,” and “Walking in the Rain.
” The Ronettes announced Talley Ross’ death on Sunday, describing her as a light to those who knew and loved her. Her daughter, Nedra K. Ross, shared that her mother passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. The Ronettes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, cementing their legacy as pioneers of the girl group sound
