ANCHORAGE , Alaska - Anchorage firefighters responded Friday afternoon to assist with an avalanche rescue near Falls Creek Trail that injured two men, according to the Anchorage Fire Department and Alaska State Troopers.
AFD said it was notified of the avalanche at 2:17 p.m. and sent five units to help stage a landing zone and remain on standby.
