A north suburban high school career advisor has been charged with grooming and soliciting two students, police said. Wauconda police said investigators initially became aware of allegations against College of Lake County staff member 42-year-old Adam C. Faulkner on April 16.
Authorities took Faulkner into custody during a traffic stop for driving on a revoked license on Thursday, just before police and Lake County K9 Enzo executed a search warrant at a home in connection with the case. There, police said, they found evidence that Faulkner groomed and solicited two Wauconda High School students.
Faulkner, who provides college and career services at the high school, has been charged with two counts of Solicitation of Child Sexual Abuse Material, two counts of Grooming, and two counts of Indecent Solicitation of a Child. Police urged parents and guardians to speak with their students about any potential interaction with Faulkner and to come forward with any information by contacting the Wauconda Police Department Investigations Division at 847-865-0399.
