Officers were called just after 9:25 p.m. to a home in the 27100 block of 31st Avenue South following a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two adult men with gunshot wounds, according to KPD. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary information from a witness indicates a 48-year-old man shot his 70-year-old father before taking his own life.
Police said both men are believed to have lived at the home. Police said it remains unclear what led up to the shooting, but there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the community.
