City libraries, senior centers and parks facilities serve as warming centers during their regular hours, with some locations open extended hours on Monday.

San Antonio opened three overnight shelters Saturday evening and daytime warming centers on Sunday to help residents escape frigid weather conditions. Those shelters will remain open through the final night with freezing temperatures, city officials said. Winter precipitation, including snow, sleet and freezing rain, is expected from Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service .

The following sites will be open slightly longer than usual from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday: Bazan Branch Library, 2200 W. Commerce St. Central Library, 600 Soledad St. Cody Branch Library, 11441 Vance Jackson Road Cortez Branch Library, 2803 Hunter Blvd.
