Sarah Vance , R- Homer , said on the floor Monday. “Instead of putting money directly into the economy of each of our districts — where our constituents could have had the increased money to pay for the rising fuel costs to heat their homes, to put gas in their tanks to get to school — we instead chose to transfer $1.4 billion into the fund that pays for more government spending in the future.”
