San Antonio’s No. 1 breakfast cafe to close, move to North Side

Bobbie’s Cafe will move this summer to a former Magnolia Pancake Haus location, with another location planned for the Southeast Side.

Bobbie’s Cafe and Pie Bar, the No. 1 pick in the Express-News ranking of Top 10 breakfast restaurants in San Antonio , will move from its longtime South Side home this summer for a spot on the North Side . The new location is the former home of The Magnolia Pancake Haus at 606 Embassy Oaks , which moved to North Loop 1604 last year.

San Antonio’s Top 10 breakfast spots They plan to keep the current location of Bobbie’s Cafe on South Flores Street open as long as possible before the move to Embassy Oaks, Ana Ferris said. They’re aiming for sometime in September, with hopes for a transition so smooth “that “South Flores would close on a Monday and reopen on Embassy Oaks on Tuesday,” she said.
