A 31-year-old man is accused of tampering with physical evidence after a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were shot to death in the middle of the road.
Thursday, May 7, 2026 6:42PMA suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting where a man and woman were found shot to death on a roadway in east Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD says that Khiyea Kawaun Sanders, 31, has been charged with tampering with physical evidence in the case. On February 28, 2026, patrol officers arrived at the 9100 block of Radio Road before 3 a.m. and found 24-year-old Darrell Hall in the middle of the road and 27-year-old India Thomas in a ditch, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
No suspects identified in deadly double shooting in east Houston, HPD says HPD said Sanders was determined to be a suspect in the case and was arrested on May 5. According to court documents, officials said that Sanders was allegedly seen moving the victim's car, and noted that the car had been cleaned out, with blood marks on the side. Court officials said the case is still pending capital murder charges.
