ByDressed in their classic trench coats, hats, and boots, Banda Machos is ready to release their new album, "Permiso pa' llorar" . Since their debut in 1990, Banda Machos has continued to expand their music across generations and borders.

From quebraditas, technobanda, regional Mexican music and many other genres, Banda Machos is constantly evolving. But the 35-year journey hasn't been easy for the band, which formed in Villa Corona, Jalisco, Mexico, in 1990.

"There was always uncertainty, but we always sought to do something different," said Leo Bueno, the group's co-founder and saxophonist. "We were always looking for what was emerging at the time," said Bueno. And although things change and growth occurs, Banda Machos has always kept one thing in mind: their culture and their people.

"This song is dedicated to our Latino community who cross the border and leave their lives behind to provide a better life for their families," said Bueno. The song "Adiós, Adiós, Amor" follows a man from Mexico as he crosses the border into the United States to offer his family a better life -- a sacrifice that, according to the band, is commonplace among many immigrants who arrive in the United States.

And although it is a painful reality for many, Banda Machos says that sacrifice does not go unnoticed, and no matter where that person ends up -- alive or dead -- love will be there forever, regardless of borders.

"It's a very beautiful song that teaches us to always hold onto love. No matter the distance, we will always be thinking of them," said Bueno about the music video. The video "Adiós, Adiós, Amor" will be available to the public on April 30, but viewers can see it for the first time this Friday during their concert at the YouTube Theater.

"We're very excited and looking forward to continuing to share our music with everyone. These 35 years -- imagine a 35-year repertoire packed into two hours. I think it's going to fly by, but we hope everyone enjoys it," said Gerardo Martinez, trombonist for Banda Machos. Banda Machos will perform this Friday at the YouTube Theater, and their new album will be released this summer.
