Tomball native Joseph Manjack IV spoke with ABC13 as he sets his sights for an opportunity in the pros ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Thursday, April 23, 2026 10:51PMIf a team is looking for a big, tough, sure-handed receiver that can block, Texas Christian University product Joseph Manjack IV is their guy.
"You have to love it," Alief Hastings and Tomball Memorial's Manjack IV said. "Every aspect of it, even when it gets tough, you just remember how much you love and keep fighting towards it every single day. ""Rule number one is do your job and everything that you do in life and in football, so as a receiver, your job is to block when it's a run play and catch when it's coming towards you," he said.
"I just focus on the little things, but the main emphasis is on doing your job. " Manjack worked out at Dynamic Sports Facility in Tomball, staying ready while in contact with over 20 teams leading up to the NFL Draft. "For the most part, they just want to get their background information on you," he said.
"Get to know you, but then also they want to see how smart you are, like break down this play; 'Tell me what's going on here. Tell me this formation, awareness, and just things, just talking about the ball, and also get to know you as a person.
'""I think I surprise people," Manjack IV said. "I'm a little bit better athlete than what people may think on the field, because you know I don't look that fast with pads on. I'm a little bit better at it than people think, and I think the pro day was a good testament to that.
