Officials say one person was killed and another is in critical condition following a double shooting inside a rehab facility in Atlantic County early Monday morning.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. inside the Excelcare Rehabilitation Facility on the 6800 block of Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
'At first I thought it was as a patient and after that I heard pop, pop, pop, gunshots,' said one patient, who wished to remain anonymous.
Police quickly rushed to the scene where they say one person was found shot dead.'It was right during shift change, I think. So, the staff was just coming in. It's just one of those things, everybody's shaken up right now,' said the patient.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office have not yet identified the victims or said whether they were residents or staff members at the facility.
Officials say there is no threat to the community or the public at large, as this appears to be an isolated incident involving individuals known to one another.
