Firefighters found a 62-year-old man unresponsive and transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. The woman and four-year-old child were both transported to Stroger Hospital as a precaution, with both listed in good condition.Everyone else who lived in the building was able to make it out safely, family said, except for the 62-year-old man.Copyright © 2026 WLS-TV.
