In-N-Out Burger has no plans to add mobile ordering or pickup, the burger chain's owner says.
Don't expect to see a Double-Double on DoorDash anytime soon. Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, the president and owner of In-N-Out, was recently asked during a talk at Pepperdine University whether the popular burger chain had any plans to go digital with mobile ordering.
The short answer is no. Snyder-Ellingson said part of what makes In-N-Out special is the in-person customer service and freshness of the food. "The main reason is because part of what makes In-N-Out and the experience so special is the interaction and the customer service that we're able to give, the smile, the greeting, that warmth and feeling that culture, and so the mobile ordering will definitely take a piece of that away and there's also the freshness factor," Snyder-Ellingson said. The full conversation is up on Pepperdine University's YouTube page.
