Officers were called to DeForest Park, which runs along the Los Angeles River and 710 Freeway, around 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Police have not released much information about the investigation but said officers responded to the possible discovery of human remains. A white tent was seen next to a patrol car at the scene. According to reports from the Los Angeles Times and other media outlets, a possible small skull was found as people were searching for eggs in the park.
