GLASSBORO, N.J. --Gloucester County residents could see more than a foot of snow during this severe winter storm, making the sidewalks slippery and the roads hazardous. "I know it's not good for driving.

We've seen a lot of people come in from this weather, so my advice would be stay at home and be safe," said Jeffrey Vekeman of Blackwood.Blizzard arrives in Atlantic City as residents and visitors navigate treacherous conditionsCounty leaders say they have a full salt stockpile and crews working around the clock to clear the roads. "A lot of these guys work 16-hour days. If they don't hit your street, just be a little patient because they are out working. It is a big county, but we are working to get everyone dug out," said Gloucester County Commissioner Chris Konawel. Action News saw plows removing a layer of slush on Delsea Drive in Glassboro, as well as inches of snow on secondary streets like Charles III Drive.Another concern is power outages. Gloucester County is expected to have wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour. "Most importantly, check in on your loved ones. If someone needs help, don't be afraid to give it to them. This storm could get very ugly very quickly. I think we just need to buckle down and be ready," Konawel added.
