CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ohio Casino Control Commission said Thursday it seized 40 illegal gaming machines from two Ohio businesses. The commission worked with police departments from Lodi and Seville to obtain search warrants for the two businesses.
Prior to the search, complaints were received about the businesses operating machines in violation of Ohio law. The machine seizures happened at businesses located at 230 Center Street in Seville and 122 1/2 Ainsworth Street in Lodi. The commission said 40 slot machines were disabled or seized, in addition to an undisclosed amount of money.
“Illegal casinos harm communities and Ohioans that live in and contribute to those communities,” Matthew Schuler, executive director of the Ohio Casino Control Commission, said. “Partnering with local law enforcement to uphold Ohio’s gaming laws is the most efficient way to root out illegal gaming in the State. ”1 dead, 1 injured in I-480 motorcycle crash18-year-old dies after shots fired through window of Mansfield home
