One of golf’s biggest tournaments will be coming to Chicago’s suburbs this year, and two of the game’s greats will be joining captain Brandt Snedeker’s staff.

One of golf’s biggest tournaments will be coming to Chicago’s suburbs this year, and two of the game’s greats will be joining captain Brandt Snedeker’s staff. On “The Pat McAfee Show” Wednesday afternoon, Snedeker announced that Jim Furyk and Keegan Bradley would be serving as his assistants in the event, which will take place at Medinah Country Club in late September.
“Both guys have incredible experience as leaders representing the United States, and they’ve each earned the respect of players across generations,” he said in a statement. “Jim knows exactly what it takes to lead a team to victory and Keegan’s competitive spirit and energy will be an undeniable asset for the team.
” Furyk is quickly gaining experience as a leader in team tournaments, having served as the captain for the U.S. won they won the Presidents Cup in Montreal in 2024. He will also serve as the U.S. captain in the upcoming Ryder Cup in 2027, which will be contested at Ireland’s Adare Manor. He is no stranger to success in the Chicago area, as he captured the 2003 U.S. Open that was contested at Olympia Fields.
Bradley was captain of the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team, and he played for Furyk in the 2024 Presidents Cup, going 2-1 and winning his singles match against Si-woo Kim to help the U.S. to victory. The U.S. has been dominant in the event throughout its history, which pits American players against the best players from outside of Europe. The U.S. has won the last 10 Presidents Cup tournaments, winning the 2024 event by seven points.
The tournament will take place Sept. 24-27 at Medinah Country Club’s No. 3 course. More information can be found on the tournament’s website.
