Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri on Wednesday said he fully supports the proposal of the Department of Education to revert to the old academic calendar by school year 2026 to 2027.
Zubiri also said the change in the calendar “could save lives and enhance the learning situation of our students in the country.” With this schedule. students will be on vacation during the months of April and May when the country experiences extreme heat. In yesterday’s hearing of the Senate Basic Education committee chaired by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, DepEd Asst. Sec.
