Zoo Negara ambil langkah pastikan haiwan tidak dijangkiti Covid-19
Zoo Negara meminimumkan pergerakan penjaga zoo ke kandang dan waktu bekerja dihadkan hanya 4 jam sehari. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 7 April, 2020.
“Oleh kerana sudah ada dua tiga kes membabitkan penjangkitan daripada manusia kepada haiwan dilaporkan, maka langkah berjaga-jaga perlu diambil terutamanya bagi mereka yang sentiasa terdedah kepada haiwan ataupun bekerja di zoo,” katanya hari ini. Mat Naim berkata, haiwan yang dijangkiti Covid-19 mungkin tidak menunjukkan tanda-tanda jangkitan atau mengalami tanda jangkitan rendah.
“Yang penting jaga kebersihan diri, rajin basuh tangan terutamanya sebelum dan selepas mengendalikan haiwan,” katanya.
