Chairperson of the commission Raymond Zondo questions why Judge Tintswalo Makhubele has failed to prepare a responding affidavit since February this year.
The chairperson of the commission of inquiry into state capture, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has directed that the former chairperson of the interim board of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa , Judge Tintswalo Makhubele submit an affidavit to the commission on or before the close of business on Wednesday, 29 July, and appear in person before him on Monday, 3 August.
Zondo acknowledged that Judge Makhubele could not have anticipated that, according to Shakoane, the “tyre burst” she experienced on Thursday at around 7.30 pm resulted in an accident and thus she was “emotionally” unfit to appear before the commission either on Friday or Saturday.
