Why Neytiri’s Ikran Was Overdue A Comeback Neytiri’s action scenes were mostly limited to Avatar: The Way of Water’s ending Close While Jake helped pave the way for her heroic move, it was Neytiri who killed Quaritch in the original Avatar. As Avatar: The Way of Water devoted more screen time to her role as a mother than a warrior, the sequel seemingly forgot just how essential she was to the Na’vi resistance as a guerrilla fighter.
