Tat Meng, 55, started guiding world No. 16 Zii Jia officially from July 3 and the shuttler appeared satisfied with the first week of training.
"It’s a new start and hopefully, I can get adapted to the coach Tat Meng’s training method and I need to do it as soon as possible as we don’t have much time," said Zii Jia. Zii Jia, who had mentioned on social media that it has been a tough first week, will be hoping for better fortunes when he starts competing again after taking a short break from competitions after the Indonesia Open three weeks ago.
Tat Meng’s arrival seemed to have a positive effect on Zii Jia who will be looking forward to better fortunes when he returns to competition at the Korea Open in Yeosu next week. The 25-year-old Zi Jia will have an interesting start at the Korea Open where he will play Tat Meng’s former player Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong in the first round.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
