: Penyertaan pemain perseorangan lelaki profesional, Lee Zii Jia dalam skuad Piala Thomas negara memerlukan kos kerana Persatuan Badminton Malaysia perlu melakukan bayaran ‘hak imej’ kepada pemain tersebut.
“Adalah harapan kami agar kita semua dapat melihat ini sebagai penambahbaikan sukan ini bukan sahaja untuk kita tetapi untuk atlet profesional mewakili negara pada masa hadapan,” menurut pasukan itu. Zii Jia, yang meninggalkan BAM pada Januari 2022, adalah pemain yang ditaja oleh Victor iaitu pesaing kepada Yonex yang menjadi salah satu penaja utama kepada BAM.
